If you are looking at my website, then it is likely that you are not looking for a cookie-cutter wedding. It is likely that you would like a ceremony that reflects the unique history of you and your beloved leading up to the moment of your wedding. I have spent more than a decade crafting weddings for couples that are as unique as the couple themselves.
We’ll begin with a conversation that will feel comfortable and natural, almost like having coffee with a friend. I’ll ask you about your history – how you met each other, what first let you know that this person might be “the one,” and how your relationship has grown. We’ll talk about weddings that you have liked, and weddings that you have not. We’ll talk about what you’d like your wedding to feel like, and who are the key people you might want to be involved on your special day. If there is any tension around your wedding, we’ll talk about that, too. I’ll listen for what makes your relationship unique and special, and you’ll have a chance to get to know me.
As we work together, I’ll create a ceremony unique to the two of you that reflects who you are and your unique backgrounds. This might be creating unique rituals to reflect what is important to you, or weaving traditions from your families together to create something meaningful to everyone involved. I’ll be sure to explain as much or as little as you would prefer to ensure that the wedding is meaningful and memorable for everyone there in the best possible ways.
If you want to write your own vows, I’ll work with you to make the process both meaningful and as undaunting as possible (it is rarely possible for it to be not-at-all daunting). If you prefer to choose something already created, I’ll work with you to find the perfect words for you and your beloved for the promises you will make with each other.
Throughout every step of the process, I will be by your side so that when it is time for you and your beloved to become joined in matrimony, you will both be able to embrace the moment and know that it was created just for you.
